There are some things I think I can wonder about in LBT that might have changed loads of events:
.) Would Littlefoot still have met the others or did he only meet them BECAUSE of the fact that his mother had died?
.) Though his grandparents didn’t ground him for going to the Sinking Sands in the second movie, do you think that his mother would have, thus ensuring that he never found Chomper?
.) In LBT IV, would Littlefoot have still gone to the Land of Mists and risked getting not only himself but his new friend Ali killed if there was a chance that he didn’t have to leave the Great Valley? Grandpa Longneck had told his wife that if he didn’t make it, that he wanted her to go with Ali’s herd. However, had their daughter still been alive, maybe he would have said to stay with her in the Great Valley instead. On the other hand, considering go that Littlefoot went after his father in Journey of the Brave, I think he would have gone to the Land of Mists anyway. Still, you never know for sure. In the real timeline, Littlefoot had already lost his mother, hence his greater urgency to save his grandfather and later his father.
.) It’s possible that in LBT V, with Littlefoot’s mother still being alive, that she may have been able to stop Mr. Threehorn’s vote to split up the herds, which means that they would not have met Chomper again and likely he would have been corrupted by his parents to be a normal Sharptooth. Also, if the kids hadn’t left the herd, they wouldn’t have gone to the Big Water, which means they would have had a harder time finding their way to the Big Water in LBT IX. Perhaps the extra time would have meant that the Swimming Sharptooth would have found them sooner and maybe Mo wouldn’t have been able to get to the kids in time and they would have died. Or perhaps he would have, but only to not be able to get to safety himself (unlike in the actual timeline) and so die. Mo’s death here would have meant that Chomper could well have drowned in Missing Fast Water Adventure as Mo was one of those who helped untangle him from the vines.
.) The franchise likely would have ended with Great Longneck migration. Had his mother still been alive, she probably would have chosen to go live with her husband and Littlefoot could well have chosen to go with his parents as a wandering herd, meaning he wouldn’t see his friends that much anymore.
