  • They are one win away from the World Series (though they were in this position in 2003 and lost, though, in that case, it was in game 7 that they lost.) If they win tomorrow, they will be in the World Series for the first time, I think, since 1945.

If they beat the Dodgers, they will face the Cleavland Indians. If they can beat them, they will win the World Series for the first time in, except for a few very very old people, living memory (since 1908).

But do you think they can break that curse?

I’m hoping that we get SOME good news this year. (It’s certainly NOT coming from the elections.)

Don’t even go into the elections.
I’ve already heard too much about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Watching the Cubs. Will post stats.

It’s down to Game 7 with 3 wins and 3 losses for both teams. Only 1 can win. The two ptichers, last time they matched up, resulted in a Cubs loss 1-0, but Kluber has had short rest this time out this time and also 1-0 is close anyway and the Cubs have their designed hitter dude back. Indeed, him being out may have results in some of the Cubs losses earlier.

The Indians haven’t won a world series in 68 years. The Cubs haven’t won a World Series in 108 years. One of them is going to break that streak tomorrow.

I’m kind of at a loss as to what to think. The Cubs may not get this chance again for 20 or more years, but, on the flip side, if the Indians lose, then they become the new team, I think, with the longest World Series drought, and, who knows, if our politicians don’t bring the world to an end, they might end up with a 100 year drought before they win one again in 2048 or something.

I wish it were some team like the Yankess that the Cubs were up against. One that doesn’t need anymore World Series wins.
