  • I wasn’t born when it came out in theaters, but did anyone manage to see it? If so, how was it on the big screen. I can’t even imagine how awesome it would have been. :sad_spike

Sadly, no, I was born in 1989. I would have loved to have seen it. All I can do is dream that they ever get to a finale on the big screen and I can see it.

I was born in 1991 so unfortunately I never got to see it either. I’m with @ChomperHugger on this one. Hopefully one day it will be re-released to theaters. I would definitely pay to go see it. Sadly, it’s probably going to have to be one of those “old time classics” in like 30 more years before we’ll even be able to see it in niche theaters.

Not necessarily. They’ve rereleased the original Lion King (which I DID get to see the original one in theaters) in 3D, so it’s possible that a 3D LBT original could come out someday.

Speaking of Lion King, I had suggested that future LBT stuff might show more stuff from the prospective of (Friendly of course) Sharpteeth. However, they said that movies that have too much focus on carnivores instead of herbivores just aren’t marketable or something like that. I pointed to the huge success of the Lion King to counter that silly argument.

@ChomperHugger: How could the movies be from the perspective of Sharpteeth if there aren’t any Sharpteeth in the Great Valley? They would have to change the fundamental nature of LBT, which is probably why this will never be done.

1.) There’s Chomper, and they actually DID focus on him in one episode.
2.) There could be others in the future.

Heck no! But I wish I could have. I wasn’t even born yet when it came out.

I was born ten years after it came out, so obviously I didn’t. :sad_spike

Yeah, I too did not have the chance to see it in theaters, although I would very much have loved to. I was born in 1989. I do remember growing up in the 90s and how the series was quite popular though.

A theatrical re-release seems a bit unlikely to me, but I would totally shell out my money if it ever did happen.
